I am a Staff Safety and Systems Engineer and a Certified Functional Safety Professional. Some of my previous work is high-end and high-volume mil-aero and automotive electronics design and analysis and programming and management in the field of IT.  Right now, I’m making fully autonomous trucks safe.  I am also interested in signal processing, optics, multi-spectral imaging, materials science, 3D printing, “big data”, computer vision, machine learning, home automation, and simplifying complicated things.

When I’m not spending my free time enjoying life with my wife and daughters, I spend the rest of my time tweaking my Home-Assistant.io installation.  I also play bass guitar, bend Arduinos and esp8266s to my will, and buy too many things from Sparkfun and Adafruit.
